Overall the hotel is clean and the staff are friendly. I found the beds to be comfortable and the complimentary Wi-Fi is very fast. On the negative side, the gym is poorly maintained and needs a treadmill. The ceiling is too low to properly use the elliptical machine without hitting your head. One of the set of free weights are missing and hasn't been replaced. I also find it ridiculous that they charge for ice. Another big knock against this hotel is their use of low flow shower heads. I am supportive of water conservation but the water pressure for the showers is absurd.
Not super fancy but very clean and right downtown. Very friendly staff.
The chteau Chibougamau is a good place when in town. Convenient for in city business and recently renovated. A little off kilter with respect to the restaurant but there are so many other in town solutions that it's not a big deal.
Couldn't say about the rest of the hotel, but do not get a room in the "Annex" on the other side of the bar. Paper thin walls, you can hear people talking on the street and I just heard a cellphone vibrate! The lighting is very poor. The AC is silent, but goes way below the set temp which sets off the noisy heating. And it's the most expensive place in town! To avoid. In general, I'm glad I visited this town, I don't ever need to come back.
